New developments are exerting pressure on land in Nairobi's
affluent neighbourhoods pushing up its cost, writes Kennedy
Senelwa.
Nairobi's up market residential areas are experiencing an
acute land shortage, with an acre going for at least Sh20
million due to increased construction of apartment blocks.
The crunch is already being felt in areas such as Kileleshwa,
Lavington and Kilimani where re-zoning was undertaken to
allow developers to construct high-density units like apartments.

Many
of these private game parks, reserves and lodges offer superb
experiences. They are pricey, extremely pricey, but you
will get fantastic accommodation, sometimes luxurious beyond
your wildest dreams.
Besides
the boring old game activities of going for a drive and
spotting wild dogs, lion, cheetah, elephant and dung beetles,
you'll sleep upon white linen sheets, be served gourmet
meals, have a jacuzzi or a massage, go on sunset cruises,
enjoy early-morning bush breakfasts complete with crystal
glasses and accompanying hippo sounds. To read the full
